Hopefully I can make it work.
Windows 7 is a new beast to me for coding with my compiler, but I shall do my best.

No problem, I just wanted to make sure these weren't gone for good!  I agree that shortcut is nearly useless and I never use it with too many other methods of creating them available.

Text file is used almost constantly as I use A43 to control my file system browsing and never want to open a blank document and have to traverse through the file system yet again to create a file.

To have the native 'new' menu would be even better!

The New Shortcut was removed for Windows 7. My old code was not compatible.
But it is just as easy to right click a file/folder and select Create shortcut.

The New Text File was removed because I am going to try and include the native Windows/New menu. It is a reminder to me.

Hopefully this won't take long.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

BG

In the 'New' menu and right-click New popup:
New Text File and New Shortcut seem to have disappeared from the newest versions (3.20 for sure).  I use these many times a day at work (version 2.49) and am not sure when it disappeared or if there is a reason for that.

Thanks for this awesome product!

General Discussion / Re: after search. How do you sort by date?

Click on the 'Modified' header. All headers will sort.
Hope this helps.

In the notes it says. "After the search is complete, click the name header to sort the list by name." How do you sort by date?  Thanks

Wish List / Re: Single-click to open an item (point to select)

This is on the to-do list. I tried this several years ago and made a mess of it. But since then I know where my failings were. Hopefully I will get it in the next release.

Thanks,
BG

Hi

I would like to have an option to be able to Single-Click on a file to get it to open.
(consistent with how I use Windows Explorer)

Regards
Thorkild Dalsgaard

P.S. I have used A43 for several years and I like it.

Thanks SmokinJ,

I have come to the point I can sit now. So I will try and go through the wish list and try to correct the needed requests. It will be slow but I shall try.

How are you?

BG

PS-Thanks for using A43 and giving feedback.
